The Role

We are looking to recruit a Clinical Secretary to join the Emergency & Medical team at University Hospital Wishaw!

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of clinicians, enabling clinicians to operate effectively and efficiently.

The Clinical Secretary will work in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Permanent / Band 3 / 2x Full Time / 37 hours

This role will be based within the Emergency & Medical team, at University Hospital Wishaw.

What We'll Need You To Bring

  • SVQ level 2 qualification (or equivalent experience) plus at least 2 years experience in healthcare administration or at least 3 years experience in a secretarial role
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Evidence of effective team working and dealing with change
  • Evidence of strong communication skills with patients, clinicians and colleagues.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Evidence of strong competence with relevant IT systems
  • Audio typing skills

It would be great if you also have

  • Knowledge of TrakCare, Winscribe digital dictation system
