Clinical Research Nurse –Lead Research Nurse (Critical Care)

We have an opportunity for an experienced Critical Care nurse to join our Critical Care Research Team based at St Thomas Hospital and Guys Hospital for one year.
Our research programme is at the heart of everything we do at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, and plays a vital role in helping us to consolidate and grow on our position as one of the UK’s leading Research Trusts.
The post will include setting up and supporting the delivery of non-commercial studies and supporting commercial as required. Reviewing local capacity and liaising with managers, internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with a dynamic multi-disciplinary research team to deliver our portfolio of studies. You will be required to liaise with trial site coordinators for site initiation visits, site visits and site closures as appropriate. You will be required to attend research meetings on a regular basis.
The trust has three critical care units - one at Guy's Hospital and two at St Thomas' Hospital. We run a portfolio of research studies including the prestigious extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) studies. We offer studies ranging from early phase to phase IV and include studies on AKI to cardiac monitoring at national and international level. In addition the ICU department is the sponsor for many of its own trials for single and multi-centre research.
