Role overview
As a Client Manager you will be at the heart of our client relationships, ensuring that every interaction is meaningful and impactful. This role is not just about managing accounts; it’s about understanding the unique needs of each client and offering tailored advice that helps them achieve their goals. You will be the trusted advisor, the go-to person who clients rely on for guidance, clarity, and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their goals and challenges, and proactively offering solutions that add value. You will be responsible for organising and attending client meetings to best understand their needs.
Account Management: Oversee the financial accounts of your clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of services. This includes the preparation of annual accounts, tax returns and VAT returns.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the team on projects and knowledge sharing to ensure a seamless client experience. You will also be involved in the mentoring of junior team members, guiding them as they grow in their careers.
Our Ideal Candidate will be
Experienced: You’ll have experience working within a similar role within an accountancy practice, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management. Strong computer skills would be an advantage.
Fully or Part Qualified: Being part or fully qualified in a professional accountancy qualification is preferred but not essential as support towards professional qualifications is also available to the right candidate.
Communicative: You’ll be a genuine people person with excellent communication skills. You listen actively, articulate complex information, and build trust with a diverse portfolio of clients.
Collaborative: You’ll be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is willing to share knowledge, support colleagues and be happy to work as part of a team to tight deadlines. Adaptable: You’ll be comfortable with change and excited by the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You are open to new ideas and continuously seek ways to improve.
