We are looking for an experienced and driven Cleaning Operative to join our busy Cleaning Services Team.
Attention to detail, operational excellence and a can do attitude is key to ensuring we continue to exceed the expectations of our customers. It’s your job as part of the Cleaning Services team to deliver this service, working efficiently, effectively and energetically.
A friendly and flexible outlook is essential to this post as you deal with learners, colleagues and visitors to the college.
Your key duties will include cleaning all areas of the college including classrooms, workshops, public areas – including toilets, staffrooms and offices.
Recent experience of cleaning in an educational or industrial setting would be advantageous.

Carlisle College is a further education college serving the post-16 education and training needs of Carlisle and the surrounding area. Located in the city centre, we’ve been here since 1954 and every year we help more than 2,700 students take their next steps towards their future.
We offer an extensive range of vocational and academic subjects with over 100 courses available from entry level through to degrees, professional qualifications and community programmes. We offer full time and part time courses, including short courses and distance learning.

We’ve invested over £30 million in our city-centre campus, including a £5.3 million digital and creative arts complex and a £1 million Advanced Manufacturing Centre. Combined with excellent teaching, we can ensure that learning is more relevant, realistic and enjoyable, providing students with the perfect route into further study or employment.
