Cleaning & Hygiene Operations
- Carry out routine daily cleaning of offices, workshops, corridors, welfare areas, and meeting rooms
- Perform cleaning of kitchens, canteens, toilets, washrooms, and waste areas to required hygiene standards
- Conduct periodic deep-cleaning tasks, including carpet cleaning, descaling, sanitisation, and floor care
- Replenish consumables such as soap, hand towels, toilet tissue, sanitiser, and other supplies
- Ensure cleaning tasks are completed in line with daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments, safe systems of work, and COSHH guidance
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and report any defects or hazards immediately
- Support site housekeeping standards and assist in maintaining a safe working environment
- Segregate waste appropriately and support environmental practices aligned with ISO 14001
- Participate in safety briefings, training sessions, and audits when required.
- Ensure cleaning equipment stock levels are maintained, stored correctly, and used safely
- Report stock shortages and support the Facilities team with inventory checks for cleaning materials
- Assist with event and meeting room setup, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for visitors
- Respond promptly to ad-hoc cleaning requests and emergency spill clean-ups
- Work collaboratively with Facilities Operatives and other internal teams.
- Deliver a consistent and high standard of cleaning across all assigned areas
- Maintain accurate completion of cleaning checklists and relevant documentation
- Communicate effectively with the Facilities team regarding issues, improvements, or operational needs
- Contribute to a positive workplace experience for employees and visitors.
