Overview

We are recruiting for a Casualty Claims Handler to join our growing team.

In this role you will be dedicated to managing a portfolio of public and employers’ liability claims for local authority clients. Responsible for handling these claims from first notification to settlement and will be making decisions on liability, fraud and quantum.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Handle claims from first notification to settlement, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Assess liability, fraud, and quantum, making informed decisions based on available evidence and policy terms.
• Oversee claims through litigation, working closely with legal teams to ensure effective case management.
• Liaise with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, brokers, suppliers, claimants, and their representatives.
• Utilise multiple means of communication, such as phone, email, video conferencing, etc., to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim files, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify and implement process improvements, enhancing overall claims handling efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices, continuously enhancing knowledge and skills.
  
  

About You

• A good understanding of proactive claims handling
• Confident in progressing to handling claims exceeding £50,000 under authority
• Working knowledge and experience of handling MOJ Portal Claims is desirable
• Eligible to work in the UK
