About Us

Dew Point Systems Ltd. is an innovative cooling technology spun out from the University of Hull after 15 years of academic development and pilot testing, and in partnership with Cambridge Future Tech. The technology is a dew point cooling system that delivers up to 90% reductions in energy use and carbon emissions compared to vapour compression systems. It has been extensively trialled in data centres and developed to TRL8, and directly addresses the rapidly growing global demand for efficient, sustainable cooling in data centres and other industrial applications.

The Opportunity

With production now scaling towards commercial deployment, we are seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer with deep expertise in thermal systems, HVAC, and data centres to join the team in launching this venture.

This role will lead the technical development, certification, and large-scale deployment of our cooling solution. You’ll shape the technical strategy, build and lead the engineering team, and represent our technology to partners, investors, and customers, while reporting to the CEO and working closely with the board.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the technology roadmap: from TRL-8 through market deployment and iterative product releases
  • Lead R&D, engineering, and product teams across thermal systems, mechanical design, and software integration
  • Build manufacturing and supply-chain readiness for large-scale production
  • Ensure compliance with data-centre standards, safety, and sustainability regulations
  • Recruit, mentor, and inspire a world-class engineering team
  • Collaborate with commercial leadership to secure customers, pilots, and partnerships

Ideal Candidate Experience

  • Deep experience in thermal systems, HVAC, cooling, or data centre infrastructure (mechanical/electrical background highly desirable)
  • Track record of taking hardware-based technology from prototype through to market deployment
  • Proven leadership at senior level in a scaling environment
  • Strategic thinker who is also hands-on when needed
  • Strong communicator, able to engage with investors, operators, and partners

Why join us?

  • Founder-level equity in the company
  • Be the technical founder of a company positioned to disrupt the £20bn+ data centre cooling market
  • Shape the future of sustainable computing infrastructure
  • Join at a pivotal stage: from final validation to rapid commercial scaling
  • Strong board and investor support; clear commercial pathway
