Supporting and developing a team of police officer and support staff, you will take the lead on the application for training purposes of the theory, delivery, development and practice of all police driver training

Supporting and developing a team of police officer and support staff, you will take the lead on the application for training purposes of the theory, delivery, development and practice of all police driver training
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage and develop the driver training team. Allocate and monitor tasks and activities to trainers; ensure consultation with stakeholders and research takes place where relevant to ensure the most efficient learning methods are adopted.
- Ensure the team are informing, enforcing and monitoring Driving Standards, through the ownership and administration of policy and procedure. To deliver driver training, assessment and formal testing.
- To own and administer the procedure for managing driving authorities across the Force. To ensure the team monitors Police RTCs, ensuring that an appropriate, proportionate robust re-testing development regime is in place for those drivers involved.
- You will need to be a qualified, competent and current PDI.
- Need to be competent to the police sector standard for the training of trainers.
- Will need to have experience of managing a team.
- To have a minimum of NVQ level 2 qualification in Health and Safety (Institute of Safety and Health (IOSH) Managing safely qualification)
