The Opportunity

As a Category Executive at Walkers Deli & Sausage Co., you will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making by analysing market trends, shopper behaviour, and category performance. You will be responsible for delivering actionable insights to support the commercial and category strategies for the business, collaborating closely with both internal and external stakeholders. Your work will directly influence product range, merchandising, and activation across a wide variety of retail customers.

  • Responsible for gathering market and category intelligence combined with shopper behaviour insights to support category decision-making.
  • Reporting insights to internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Commercial, Insights teams, and Retail Customers).
  • Regularly produce bi-weekly Market Insights Reports, covering seasonal reviews and identifying market trends for future product launches.
  • Provide support in influencing in-store and digital merchandising and activations.

  • Degree-educated.
  • Experience in a Category Analyst/Executive role within FMCG.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using tools like Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to interpret market and consumer insight data from sources like Kantar, Dunnhumby, IRI, and EPOS.
  • UK driving license with flexibility to travel to stores across the Midlands.
