As a Category Assistant based in our Warwick office, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Support and manage the day-to-day administration and analytical requirements for the Category team.
  • Managing promotional and marketing material and deadlines, product file maintenance including product and pack creation and invoice clearance.
  • Working closely with the Category Manager and Senior Category Manager to provide regular updates on progress and support to the Category Management team.
  • Liaising with branches on resolving price queries, range changes, new product set up and feedback on quality
  • Liaising with suppliers to resolve operational issues on various queries and new suppliers to manage the onboarding process

This is a full time, permanent role working Mon-Friday 40 hours a week, with flexible hybrid working, up to 2 days a week remotely.

  • Category/Buying Admin/Assistant experience ideally within a retail or trade environment
  • Analytical, good excel skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail, able to work in a fast paced environment and to agreed deadlines
  • Good at building relationships, confident and resilient
