What You’ll Do
- Prepare and cook dishes using standard recipes and planned menus, ensuring portion control and assisting with food service.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, infection control, and safety; report pests, equipment faults, accidents, and incidents.
- Communicate stock levels, manage temperature records, and ensure provisions are used in rotation and in date.
- Assist in training, supervising staff, office duties, and cover for Team Leader/Supervisor when needed.
- Follow Sodexo policies on Health & Safety, Fire, First Aid, COSHH; attend training and maintain confidentiality.
- Communicate professionally with colleagues, patients, and stakeholders using various methods; provide good customer service.
- Use and secure equipment safely; promote quality, health, safety, and security culture.
- Support clinical care, work independently maintaining quality, and contribute to service improvement and compliance with standards.
- Experienced cook in healthcare with knowledge of NHS policies.
- Catering qualifications and Level 2/3 Food Hygiene certificate.
- Skilled in recipes, portion control, stock, and cleaning.
- Reliable, flexible, good communicator, and deadline-driven.
- Willing to work across community services and support service changes.
