Within this Carbon Advisor role, you will help to drive our key discipline areas of carbon advisory, decarbonisation strategy, net zero pathways and carbon accounting for clients across property and infrastructure. You will help our users and clients to understand their impact of carbon throughout the lifecycle of a project and provide advice of actions to lower carbon across scope 1, 2 & 3.
Working with our carbon accounting team and carbon advisory experts in Asia and Australia to provide the services our clients need as they seek to meet mandatory or voluntary commitments.
The location for this role can be discussed, as our aim is to employ the best, and our client base is spread nationally across the UK. Therefore we welcome applications from candidates currently residing anywhere in the UK.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead client project delivery, within time and cost constraints.
- Work with UK Carbon Advisory Director and TSA UK leadership team to deliver on the strategic business goals for Carbon Advisory and the wider ESG Strategy.
- Peer review and support TSA Riley UK sustainability and ESG clients to achieve accurate carbon footprints for organizations, sites, existing assets and products.
- Provide leadership and development to junior members of the team
- Broad engagement with clients across a variety of forms (e.g. meetings / workshops etc) for data collection, evaluation, reduction and Net Zero planning.
- Timely delivery of high-quality technical solutions and interpretation of embodied and whole life carbon data and ensuring that the prevailing standards in inventory analysis are met.
- Management of multiple client projects concurrently.
Desired Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Min 10+ years’ experience in sustainability
- Tertiary qualifications in cost consulting / QS, Sustainability, Renewable Energy, Energy/carbon
- Auditing, Building or materials Science or economics are an advantage.
- Strong business development skills.
- Training or certification in life cycle carbon management, design, engineering or sustainability
- Knowledge / training or experience with CDP / ICMS / LETI etc
- Knowledge or experience in use of software such as One Click, The Footprint Calculator, be-spoke calculators.
- Experience in quantitative assessment and design evaluation
- Experience in developing and managing data analysis tools
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
- Excellence in the various Microsoft office / Adobe software tools
- A passion and skill for order and efficiency.
