As Riverside Motor Group takes on the BYD franchise in Wakefield, we are looking for a dedicated BYD Prep Centre Controller to oversee the efficient preparation of fleet vehicles. The role will be based at out Crigglestone Bodyshop/Prep Centre, which currently handles the group’s used car processing.

The successful candidate will oversee the entire process from the arrival of the vehicles to their collection by onward delivery transport, ensuring that all cars are prepared to the highest standard and on time for customer delivery.

We offer full-time hours with a basic salary of £30,000

You Will:

  • Vehicle reception and inspection: check all incoming fleet vehicles for damage, reporting issues to our Fleet Administrator in Doncaster
  • Organisation and tracking: implement and maintain a parking system with marked bays and key numbers for easy vehicle location.
  • Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) coordination: work closely with the PDI team to swiftly process vehicles and flag any mechanical or quality concerns
  • Delivery pack management: ensure all leasing company delivery packs – including plates, mats and paperwork – are correctly allocated
  • Valeting and final preparation: schedule vehicle valeting aligned with delivery dates, maintaining high levels of cleanliness and presentation standards
  • Quality control and issue resolution: oversee the rectification of any cosmetic or mechanical defects using in-house dent removal and paint facilities

Moving forward, it is anticipated that an additional member of the progressing team will be required so the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the workload of this person.

You Will Have:

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Experience in vehicle preparation or fleet management is desirable
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, valeters, and administrative staff
  • Proactive problem-solving skills to ensure a smooth workflow

Job Types:
