Join Our Dynamic Onsite Procurement Team at IPL/ASDA Leeds !

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Buying Assistant to become a vital part of our onsite Procurement Team at our Procurement Wine Team in Asda House. This role is integral to supporting our team in delivering top-quality products at the best cost, in alignment with ASDA's retail strategy. Position Details:

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Location: Hybrid working available (up to 3 days per week from home)

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract until 24/04/2026

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Assistant - Procurement on product setup for new product development (NPD) and vendor administration
• Coordinate with the Assistant - Procurement and ASDA customer planning team on descriptions for point of sale (POS), ASDA Magazine, wine blogging, asda.com, and ASDA Press tastings
• Foster effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Support the benchmarking process
• Assist with award entries and coordination
• Undertake project work as required
  
  
  

What We Are Looking For:

• Previous experience in an office-based or administrative role
• Strong advocate for delivering exceptional customer service
• Retail experience is highly desirable
• Outstanding communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent attention to detail
• Knowledge or interest in wine is a plus
