Are you an organised and motivated individual looking for a rewarding administrative role within Children's Services at West Berkshire Council? We are looking for a Business Support Administrator to provide essential business support, reporting to the Business Support Officer, to ensure the smooth operation of our service.

The Role

As a Business Support Administrator, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Taking minutes of sensitive meetings
  • Processing invoices, making payments to foster carers and petty cash payments
  • Processing and handling incoming requests, enquiries, and correspondence.
  • Maintaining accurate records, databases, and filing systems.
  • Providing administrative support to social workers and managers, such as scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and organising events.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure effective information sharing and communication.
  • Performing accurate data entry
  • Assisting with the production of reports and documents.

In this role, you will be essential in supporting the delivery of services to children, families and carers, contributing to the positive impact we make in the community.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Previous experience in an administrative role is essential with a can-do attitude and a willingness to support colleagues.
