Part of Oneline’s senior leadership team and reporting to the Managing Director, you will work with and across the business support services adding strategic planning, business development, operational optimisation whilst fostering strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders to support ambitious growth plans. This role will operate closely with group central functions to ensure efficient & consistent ways of working.



The Business Services Director will oversee and have accountability for all business support services including framework and contract management, transport and fleet management, SHEQ, finance, office management, payroll and administration, as well as taking a lead on the relationship with group central functions. This role involves strategic planning, managing resources, and leading a team to achieve the company’s goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business support services management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving business success.



More about the role:

  • Develop and implement strategies to direct efficiency in support services and commercial growth
  • Identify opportunities for synergies between operations and business support functions to maximise performance and profitability
  • Oversee all aspects of business support services, driving efficiency quality and improved productivity
  • Champion collaboration and be the conduit between the division and group central functions
  • Optimise processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance productivity
  • Working alongside the Operations Director, support the design and implementation of business strategy to achieve growth
  • Provide strong leadership and direction across the organisation
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement across the division
  • Set clear goals and performance metrics for team members and provide regular feedback and coaching
  • Work closely with the business services team to ensure high levels of efficiency
  • Develop and manage budgets for support services activities ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
  • Monitor financial performance against targets and take corrective actions as needed to achieve desired outcomes
  • Implement robust internal controls and compliance procedures to ensure regulatory and contractual obligations are met
  • Provide leadership support to the MD and business support services and be prepared to step in as required.




About you:

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, with a strong understanding of support function management
  • Proven track record of identifying inefficiencies, implementing data-driven solutions, and achieving measurable improvements in project outcomes and client satisfaction
  • Strong commercial outlook & proficiency in financial analysis and budget management
  • Knowledge and experience in a relevant business support discipline
  • Excellent strategic planning and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse complex situations and develop effective solutions
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of successfully leading, inspiring & motivating teams to achieve goals and objectives
  • Demonstrable proven ability to successfully manage the implementation of services/solutions and demonstrate delivery and achievement
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and financial acumen and be able to develop this in others
  • A high degree of reliability and integrity with an open mindset, to enable management of demands arising through organisational growth and embrace change and challenge.

We diversified into larger, more complex projects such as tank cleaning and tankering, growing the fleet to match our customers’ requirements.


We work together with our customers in the water industry to reduce pollution through superior kit, and highly experienced operatives.
