Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Finance Systems team as a Business Process Lead, specialising in Accounting and Compliance. Here, you will be able to create real business change, working on projects that fundamentally change the way we work as a Finance function. The role of the Business Process Lead requires you to work proactively on key finance projects, working with stakeholders to manage deliverables across different departments and workstreams.

Requirements

The Finance Systems team as a whole, is ultimately responsible for working on key projects that will provide the greatest benefit to the overall department in terms of efficiency, control, legal requirements, and automation. These involve:

  • Implementing new systems to create efficiency, remove manual processes and support growth.
  • Migration of group-wide legal entities into consolidated systems
  • Supporting the delivery of Radius’ first robotics project; considered a pilot for the wider business.
  • Delivering continuous improvements and business change
  • System performance monitoring, improvements, and maintenance to ensure we can support growth.
  • Supporting and delivery of any legislative changes required across all locations
  • Finance systems support (Sage X3, Documation, SEI, Velos Expense)

The role will report to the Head of Finance Systems and will be located at the group’s Head Office in Crewe, Cheshire.

  • To be the GL and Compliance Business Process Lead in the Finance Systems team; this will include process design, system build and testing, business readiness, stakeholder management and problem solving.
  • You will be required to act as a subject matter expert for the relevant aspects of Sage X3, and other systems, primarily to allow you use this knowledge to support system changes, roll outs and enhancing business processes.
  • To act as the lead in any compliance related systems projects, working closely with the tax, compliance and Financial Control teams within the business to ensure thorough testing is carried out for Radius to remain compliant in all countries within its systems. This will form your core focus.
  • Work on a continuous improvement plan for current X3 processes (and other systems); looking to streamline and improve what we have today to create greater efficiencies and remove manual processes where possible.
  • To lead the implementation of any GL process impacted within current projects; working closely with the wider project team to ensure consistency of design; working with the wider business to ensure that we provide a standard process whilst meeting business requirements.
  • To work to migrate entities to consolidate systems in accordance with the roadmap; identifying and resolving any functionality gaps required to keep consistency across processes.
  • Build knowledge on report building, fixes and learning ways to improve the current build to improve system performance for Finance.
  • To support the RPA lead within the team in identifying, understanding, and documenting processes key to your area – always having the opportunity for automation at the forefront of your mind.
  • Using your knowledge and general engagement with the finance team to identify candidates for automation and quantify the associated ROI.

Qualifications

  • CIMA / ACCA
  • Experience in an accounting or compliance role
  • Strong relationship, communication and negotiating skills.
  • Teamwork and ability to prioritise and delivery in a flexible and timely manner.
  • Relevant business process experience and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of data importance and reporting.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and the ability to “hit the ground running”.
  • Think critically and focus on outcomes.
  • Ability to build a strong rapport with stakeholders in the wider business teams.
