Are you a dynamic, commercially driven professional with a passion for innovation and industry partnerships? The University of Aberdeen is seeking 3 Business Development Executives to join our forward-thinking Research and Innovation team. These newly created positions are designed to lead industry engagement, commercial growth, and strategic partnerships in one of the following key sectors: Health & Life Sciences; Energy and Creative & Digital Industries.

With key responsibilities including; industry engagement to develop strong partnerships with industry leaders, creating collaborations between the University and key stakeholders; leading on commercial initiatives to expand our contract research, consultancy and strategic partners; supporting the university strategic plan Aberdeen 2040; positioning the university as a leader in enterprise and innovation and working closely with our academic schools to identify opportunities and drive commercial outcomes.

We are looking for post holders to have a good first degree in a relevant subject, with strong commercial and technical expertise, ideally with a postgraduate qualification or Chartered membership of a relevant professional body. You will have a proven track record of achieving business development or sales targets, ideally with experience in R&D or innovation-driven settings together with in-depth knowledge of one of the key sectors (Health & Life Sciences, Energy, or Creative & Digital Industries) and a strong industry network. Experience of project management would be advantageous.
