About Dialect

Dialect is one of the UK’s leading agencies at the intersection of gaming, consumer tech, and digital media. We work with some of the world’s biggest and most exciting brands, delivering impactful campaigns that connect with audiences authentically.

This is a unique opportunity to break into the world of gaming and consumer technology, joining a fast-paced, ambitious agency with a track record of success.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Business Development Executive to join our growing commercial team. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will play a key role in driving new business opportunities through research, prospecting, and outreach.

While the focus of this role is sales and lead generation, you will also support agency marketing initiatives such as content and social media — giving you broad exposure and the chance to develop a rounded skillset.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career – whether you’re a recent graduate with a relevant degree or have professional experience in sales, marketing, or business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new leads via LinkedIn, email, and other prospecting methods.
  • Research and identify potential clients across the gaming, consumer tech, and digital media sectors.
  • Support the Commercial Director in nurturing leads and managing the sales pipeline.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales materials, proposals, and presentations.
  • Contribute to agency marketing initiatives, including content creation and social media support.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach and pipeline activity in CRM tools.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and client developments to inform outreach strategies.

What We’re Looking For

Essential requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionals at all levels.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and highly organised – someone who thrives on hitting targets.
  • Interest in gaming, consumer tech, and digital media.
  • A hunger to learn and a willingness to embrace AI tools to augment your skills and performance.

Preferred Requirements:

  • A relevant degree (Marketing, Business, Media, or Communications) or equivalent professional experience.

Why Join Dialect?

  • Work with leading brands in gaming and consumer technology.
  • Learn consultative sales skills directly from the Commercial Director.
  • Gain experience in a supportive, growth-oriented agency environment.
  • Opportunity to build your career in sales and business development within an exciting industry.

Our core values are

  • Playfulness - We believe that play unlocks ideas and we take our work seriously (but not ourselves).
  • Trust - We do the right thing - even when no one is looking.
  • Kindness - We are always friendly, generous, considerate and honest with each other.
  • Determination - We are obsessed with being exceptional

Benefits

  • Flexible/Hybrid Working. We offer flexible hours and lots of opportunities to work from home – or wherever you happen to be!
  • Time Off. We don’t count holidays. We want you to be well rested and at the top of your game, that’s why we offer unlimited paid annual leave.
  • Wellness. Mental health is a top priority to us. We have a Mental Health partnership with Health Assured giving you access to therapy and counselling, and your immediate family access to a huge range of resources and we are continuously working towards creating a culture where people are confident to speak out about their mental health.
  • Connecting. We’re a social bunch here at Dialect. Team lunches/dinners, film club, book club, summer and Christmas parties are just a few of the things we enjoy as a team.
  • Growth. We encourage continuous professional development and exploration. We run lunch and learn sessions, quarterly performance reviews and have dedicated time each week for staff to focus on their professional development.
