Description
As part of our growth strategy across the Built Environment portfolio, Celnor Group is hiring a Business Development Executive to identify, research, and develop new business opportunities across our specialist subsidiaries. Working closely with commercial leads and operational teams, this role will be responsible for generating qualified leads, initiating prospect engagement, and supporting the early stages of the sales process.
This is a high-impact, entry-to-mid-level role focused on active lead generation, campaign follow-up, framework research, and sales coordination ideal for someone looking to develop a career in B2B business development within a dynamic, multi-brand group environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential clients across key sectors and geographies for lead generation
- Build targeted prospect lists for marketing campaigns and undertake direct outreach
- Manage outreach activity (email, LinkedIn, light-touch phone calls) and schedule introductions with relevant business units
- Follow up on marketing and email campaigns, track engagement, and hand off qualified leads
- Liaise with operational and marketing teams to align messages with technical capabilities
- Monitor public tenders, procurement portals, and framework opportunities relevant to BE businesses, manage the bids inbox, triage opportunities, and assign to the correct teams
- Assist in the registration process for frameworks and approved supplier lists
- Support with basic reporting on pipeline activity and campaign performance
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential
- Previous experience in a business development, sales support, or lead generation role
- Strong research skills and a proactive, tenacious approach to identifying new opportunities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills able to represent the group professionally and clearly
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks, working independently, and coordinating across brands
- Familiarity with CRM systems and prospecting tools such as HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Barbour ABI
Desirable
- Experience in the environmental services, engineering, construction, or consultancy sector
- Understanding of public sector procurement, supply chain registrations, and framework processes
- A good working knowledge of sales metrics and funnel reporting
