About the role

We are seeking a number of proactive and results-driven Business Development Executives to generate new business within Node4’s highly referenceable vertical markets across the UK public, private, and channel sectors. As one of our BDE's, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and engaging key decision-makers, leveraging our multi-channel marketing campaigns, assets, and toolsets to drive sales opportunities. You will be responsible for both outbound and inbound engagement, focusing on high-value appointments that lead to long-term business growth.


What will you do?

  • Ability to identify a lead, complete the first step in qualification, and then hand it over to an Account Manager to push through the sales cycle.

  • Utilise multiple outbound channels (telephone, email, LinkedIn) and inbound leads to create opportunities, build relationships, and secure meetings with key prospects.


  • Leverage Node4’s marketing assets, content, and campaigns to create effective touchpoints with potential clients, ensuring a consistent flow of qualified leads.


  • Build rapport and trust with decision-makers, establishing Node4 as a key technology partner. Tailor your approach to address the unique needs and challenges within different vertical markets.
  • Effectively manage your pipeline to ensure consistent and timely follow-up on leads and appointments, ensuring all sales opportunities are pursued and moved through the sales cycle.


  • Work closely with the wider sales and marketing teams to align on strategic targets and leverage resources to maximise business development efforts.


  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, ensuring all interactions, opportunities, and sales progressions are tracked and updated.


  • Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and manage a pipeline of leads without requiring constant supervision.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different stakeholders and sectors.


  • Driven by targets and a results-focused approach. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment.


What will you bring?

  • Proven track record in business development or sales, particularly in generating appointments and leads within B2B markets. Experience in the IT or technology sectors is a plus.


  • Strong ability to utilise various communication channels, including telephone, email, and LinkedIn, to engage prospects and decision-makers.


  • Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and manage a pipeline of leads.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different stakeholders and sectors.


  • Familiarity with CRM systems and other sales enablement tools. Ability to learn new tools quickly and maintain organised records.


  • Driven by targets and a results-focused approach. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment.


  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with internal teams to support the overall sales strategy.


  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to stay motivated and driven, even when facing challenges or rejection.
