The Vacancy

We are looking for a Business Development Executive to join our MTC Training Team based in Coventry or Oxford.

The role of the BDE will be to support MTC Training to achieve commercial and apprenticeship targets across multiple sites primarily focussed on the commercial activity .

Roles And Responsibilities


  • Contribute to the growth of MTC Training by facilitating and executing revenue generating activities across the training centres predominately from commercial courses
  • Proactively approach and create sales leads from targeted prospective customers to support the annual sales targets and KPIs
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to provide world class outcomes
  • Develop a pipeline of customer engagements and opportunities that complement the core sales activities of MTC Training
  • Attend networking opportunities including conferences and industry events
  • Support account management activities and manage a small portfolio of clients
  • Attending and supporting events both regionally and nationally to grow the MTC Training brand
  • Supporting other teams as required eg. STEM events, Marketing


Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate who has:


  • Knowledge of engineering and apprenticeships
  • Demonstrable understanding of the sales process and terminology
  • Competent user of MS Office and CRM’s
  • Financially literate and numerate

  • Strong customer and quality focus
  • Approachable in manner
  • Highly motivated and resilient in nature – able to work to deadlines and comfortable being set targets
  • Self-starter with determination to succeed and able to work on own initiative
  • Able to travel throughout the UK
  • Able to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of Learners
