Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Business Analyst (Real-time monitoring) for an initial 6 month contract based in London on a hybrid basis (1-2 times per week in office).

Purpose of the Role:

The Business Analyst (Real-time Monitoring) will sit within a small and dynamic team, playing a vital role in the Independent Real-time Monitoring side team, performing gap analysis and developing a robust monitoring framework to ensure compliance and risk management in BAU real-time monitoring activities.

Responsibilities of the Business Analyst:

As a Business Analyst (Real-time Monitoring) you will be responsible for:

  • Continuously monitoring trading activities for compliance and risk management and addressing issues promptly and generate daily reports.
  • Identifying and addressing gaps in the current monitoring framework, assisting with the implementation of new monitoring systems, improvements, deployments and integrations.
  • Challenging and validating real-time monitoring processes, ensuring unbiased oversight and continuous improvement.
  • Overseeing trading activities to ensure compliance as the first line of defence against potential risks.


What we require from the Business Analyst (Real-time Monitoring):

  • Demonstrate a solid background as a Business Analyst.
  • Hold strong expertise in Real-time Monitoring.
  • Show considerable experience in trading or e-trading.
  • Have worked as Business Analyst in the financial or banking sector.


Desirable criteria include:

  • Experience in Tier 1 banking environment.
