Business Analyst: £60,000 - 65,000 (12 Month FTC)


  • Reports to: Senior Programme Manager


  • Hybrid: 4 Days P/week on-site in Central London


  • Integration and Optimisation Programme

Role Overview:

The role requires an excellent Business Analyst who can help shape the business and deliver new technology implementations. You will need to work closely with the Technology team and their business units to gather requirements and provide high-level documentation, for a successful conversion in to actionable insights and process change for technology improvements. Your role will support the advancement of technology across the end-to-end customer and product lifecycle

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering:

Organise, facilitate and document requirements gathering sessions with multiple stakeholder groups and business units

Work closely to identify current and future state processes, systems and configurations

Provide quality, standardised documentation of requirements that are easily translated into actionable tasks for implementations and software development.

Devise solutions to business problems and business improvements


  • Create customer journeys and write user stories, to capture and analyse business objectives.

Process Mapping:


  • Conduct detailed AS-IS analysis of current processes, and identity TO-BE improvements for future-state process to improve system optimisation and efficiency.


  • Create process maps, workflows, and diagrams to existing processes and proposed changes, ensuring clarity for all stakeholders.

Technical Expertise:


  • Act as a liaison between the business and technical teams to ensure alignment on expectations and delivery standards.


  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications, and communicate with technical teams & the business to evaluate risk.


  • Experience working on hands-on IT projects, with an emphasis on Integration and optimisation on front-end systems (some finance).


  • Collaborate closely with the testing team and support thorough QA and testing plans along with acceptance criteria.


  • Support implementation of technical projects, ensuring a smooth adoption plan is in the business.

Key Relationships:


  • Stakeholders: Work with complex SME's and Business Units to gather functional requirements and ensure business analysis is complete for transformations.


  • Technical Teams: Supporting the implementations/QA testing & working with technical teams to ensure functional requirements are up-to-date for a smooth technical delivery.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience as a business analyst within technology environments.


  • Experience of system development and technical IT/Integration projects, with budgets from £100k > £1MLN.


  • Very lean team and building PMO, so want experience in organisations from 750-1000 personnel, if larger it might be difficult to navigate requirements.


  • Proven track record of gathering technical requirements, working to generate high quality process documentation, and reporting into multiple cross-functional teams.


  • Desirable to have experience working with either Salesforce, MS Azure, SAP and DevOps (particularly from an integration perspective).


  • Strong problem-solving skills and great communication/stakeholder management to influence key leaders with your analysis.


  • Experience working in fast-paced and unstructured environments.


  • Proficiency with business analysis tools and process mapping software (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
