We have an exciting opportunity for a Business & Admin Manager to join the team at HMP Kirkham, a Category D open prison for males, located near Preston, Lancashire.

HMP Kirkham is a unique environment, with stunning grounds and lots to offer both staff and patients, including our brand new, state of the art gym - free for staff, and it's also the biggest gym in a prison in the country! We have lots of wellbeing activities, and you will be made to feel welcome straight away!



This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the admin function, which supports the wider healthcare team on site, ensuring that patients receive the best quality care, and the healthcare team are fully supported.



Hours:


This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week. Shifts are Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00.



Salary:


This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary of £37,663 - £42,648 per annum - depending on experience.

As our new Business & Admin Manager, your responsibilities will vary. You will


  • Have experience of a community clinical system (We use SystmOne).
  • Ensuring data is accurate and high quality for internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Be responsible for managing effective, patient centred, clinical administration processes and leading the administration team to ensure smooth day to day running of the service.
  • Having oversight and verifying the accuracy and completeness of all patient data.
  • You will also be responsible for overseeing healthcare administration and appointments for all patient clinics and external hospital appointments.

Our new Business & Admin Manager will ideally have:


  • Previous management or leadership experience - this is a management position so we are looking for someone who had lead a team before
  • Any prison / secure setting experience would be a bonus!
  • Any experience using SystmOne would be beneficial, as would experience within healthcare (hospital, GP Practice etc)
  • Confident in using data, maintaining databases and producing reports
