The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that our school environment is safe, clean, and well:maintained for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day:to:day maintenance and cleanliness of the school site, including classrooms, offices, hallways, and outdoor areas.
• Conduct regular checks on the schools facilities, ensuring all health and safety standards are met.
• Manage and coordinate minor repairs and maintenance tasks, or liaise with external contractors for more complex work.
• Monitor and maintain school grounds, including cleaning, litter picking, and ensuring pathways and playgrounds are safe.
• Ensure the proper functioning of school equipment and facilities, such as heating, lighting, and plumbing.
• Lock and unlock the premises, ensuring security is maintained at all times.
• Set up and prepare the school site for events, assemblies, or meetings as required.
• Ensure the safe storage and handling of equipment, chemicals, and cleaning supplies.
• Liaise with staff and leadership to address any site:related concerns or issues promptly.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in a site supervision or similar facilities management role, ideally within a school or educational environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Strong practical skills, with the ability to carry out basic repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good communication skills and the ability to liaise with staff, students, and external contractors.
• A proactive and flexible attitude to work.
  
  

Requirements

• An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this).
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• Comprehensive CV covering the last 10 years of education/employment history with any breaks explained.
