Building Safety Manager

• Contract type: Permanent
• Salary (FTE): £44,000 - £48,000 p.a. plus competitive benefits
• Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (Mon – Fri) with the requirement to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service including evening/weekends on occasion
• Location: Romford or Dartford (involving travel to all YMCA TG sites)
• Holiday entitlement: 30 days plus 8 public/bank holidays

In this role you'll have the exciting challenge of shaping and leading a team focused on responding to the increased importance of building safety and compliance. You'll oversee a diverse portfolio of 38 properties, ranging from hostels and self-supported accommodation to nurseries, youth centre, a gym, and a café. You will ensure the safety, compliance, and operational integrity of these sites, directly influencing the wellbeing of the communities and beneficiaries we serve.

As part of this role, you will:

• build and lead a team that responds to and manages safety and compliance issues across our properties. Influence change by embedding best practices in building safety and compliance
• be pivotal in ensuring a secure environment, meeting regulatory requirements while maintaining a community-focused approach
