Band: Indicative Band 7 (subject to job evaluation)

Contract Type: 6-month full time secondment or fixed-term contract.

Location: Hybrid - home-based / any Black Country acute Trust

Department: CEO Office – Black Country Provider Collaborative

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Project Manager to join our Black Country Provider Collaborative Transformation and Delivery Office.

This role would be an excellent development opportunity for a current Band 6 Project Manager or anyone seeking to gain experience and enhance their skills working at a system-wide level.

The Project Manager will oversee three key transformation projects within the Breast Specialty Network:

• Development of a breast reconstruction service providing free-flap surgery.
• Establishment of a breast radiology alliance.
• Review of the four Black Country breast units.
  
  

The ideal candidate will have experience in NHS clinical service transformation and project management, including planning, stakeholder engagement, and the development of outline business cases.

The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical service transformation and project management, including planning, stakeholder engagement, and the development of outline business cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the project management and delivery of three transformation projects within the Breast Network.
• Provide high-quality project management, including planning, administration, risk management, and reporting.
• Develop and implement detailed project plans with defined deliverables and milestones.
• Conduct comprehensive options appraisals and develop outline business cases for each project by March 2025.
• Foster excellent collaborative relationships with stakeholders and ensure alignment with the Provider Collaborative’s strategic objectives.
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Educated to degree level or equivalent career path experience (Essential).
• PRINCE2 Foundation / Managing Successful Programmes Foundation or equivalent project management qualification (Desirable).
• Significant experience in project management, particularly within a healthcare environment (Essential).
• Extensive knowledge of breast services and breast care pathways (Desirable).
