The Brand Director role combines strategic brand management with creative oversight, ensuring every customer touchpoint aligns with the brand’s values and positioning.
The Brand Director will develop innovative campaigns, oversee the brand’s visual identity, and create a cohesive, high-end experience across all channels.
This position requires a seasoned leader who can inspire teams, foster strategic partnerships, and deliver exceptional brand experiences that resonate with discerning travellers.
Key responsibilities:
Brand vision and leadership:
- Define and lead the brand vision, ensuring consistent and inspirational creative and editorial across all platforms.
- Develop and oversee compelling campaigns and concepts that resonate emotionally with luxury travel customers and bring the brand’s positioning to life.
- Maintain the highest standards of visual and written identity, ensuring alignment with the brand’s values, tone, and luxury positioning.
- Help create and oversee creative and editorial, ensuring campaigns, storytelling and imagery are of the highest standard and deliver the required marketing impact
- Continuously challenge and elevate ideas and strategies to drive measurable business results that maintain the right brand tone of voice.
- Able to represent the brand in forums and leadership conversations.
Brand strategy and positioning:
- Define and articulate a strong brand strategy, positioning the company as a leader in the travel industry targeting affluent customers.
- Evolve and communicate the brand’s vision, mission and values, ensuring they are reflected in all touchpoints.
- Oversee the design and development of the brand’s visual identity, ensuring consistency in photography, videography, logos, typography, colour schemes and other brand elements.
- Maintain brand consistency and integrity of creative assets and communications across all owned channels and platforms, ensuring they adhere to established brand guidelines and standards.
- Collaborate with internal creative teams and external agencies to produce cohesive, impactful brand materials that align with core brand values.
- Conduct regular brand audits to assess and enhance brand health.
Brand experience:
- Partner with Design, Marketing and UX teams to ensure that every customer touchpoint — from initial interaction to post-travel follow-up, that embodies the brand’s promise.
- Ensure seamless, brand-aligned experience across all stages of the customer journey.
- Leverage customer insights and market research to refine brand positioning and enhance the overall brand experience.
Marketing campaigns:
- Oversee the development of creative concept and visual direction of marketing campaigns across digital, social, brand, PR and CRM channels, ensuring alignment with strategic brand goals.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure that all creative work supports the company’s strategic goals and enhances brand awareness.
Brand partnerships and influencer engagement:
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships with like-minded brands and influencers to increase brand reach and credibility.
- Identify and develop partnerships to support brand growth globally.
Creative team leadership and collaboration:
- Manage and mentor a team of creative professionals, fostering a collaborative, innovative and results-driven environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development and curation teams, to ensure that all creative executions are aligned with business goals.
- Cultivate relationships with external agencies and other creative partners to ensure the delivery of premium-quality assets.
- Oversee the budgeting and resourcing of the Design, Editorial and Creative teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Trend awareness and innovation:
- Stay ahead of luxury market trends, consumer behaviours and competitor activity, ensuring that the brand remains at the forefront of luxury travel.
- Explore and experiment with new creative tools, technologies and platforms (such as VR, AR, AI) to enhance the customer experience and bring innovative storytelling elements to life.
- Continuously evolve the brand’s creative approach, ensuring it remains fresh and inspirational.
Requirements:
- Experience: 10+ years of senior leadership experience in brand, creative, publishing or marketing, preferably within the travel, luxury retail, or marketing agency sectors.
Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement both brand and marketing strategies that deliver measurable results.
- Proven experience developing and executing luxury brand creative strategies across multiple platforms.
- Strong experience of art and design direction with a portfolio showcasing high-quality, luxury campaigns and website from UI to UX
- Expertise in editorial and visual storytelling.
- Expertise in brand building, storytelling, and customer-centric branding principles.
- Strong creative and analytical thinking with the ability to translate insights into strategic campaigns.
- Leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor and grow a high-performing team.
- Knowledge of luxury markets and the latest trends in travel, sustainability and digital content creation.
