Your Key Responsibilities Include
- Design and optimise high-performance SQL solutions to power financial reporting, transaction analysis, and business intelligence.
- Take a leading role in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues from debugging complex stored procedures to fine-tuning ETL workflows - with proactive monitoring to keep our financial data accurate.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with end users and stakeholders, including finance teams, to ensure their requirements are fully understood and met.
- Step into the OLAP Administrator role – a process you’ll own end-to-end after enhanced training.
- Follow industry-standard testing and change management procedures to safeguard data integrity.
- Share knowledge freely and help foster an environment where everyone can learn and innovate together.
What You’ll Bring
- Proficiency in SQL development (SSMS), advanced data modelling, and ETL workflows.
- Strong skills in Excel and data manipulation.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift.
- Combine strong teamwork skills with the initiative to work independently - balancing collaboration with personal accountability.
- Committed to ongoing skills development, with the flexibility to evolve alongside emerging BI technologies and analytical approaches.
- Effective organisation and time management skills, capable of meeting deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Previous experience within the automotive industry.
- Experience with OLAP data cubes and administration.
- Background in finance or related financial domains; understanding financial data and processes
- Experience with App Studio
- Hybrid working model: 3 days in our Newcastle office, 2 days remote.
