Dakota Hotel based in Motherwell are seeking an outgoing individual with waiting experience for the role of Restaurant Waiter / Waitress to deliver exceptional service to our guests. Working part-time, this role requires the individual to work over the festive period from the 4th November 2024 – 2nd January 2025.

CONTRACT AND PAY RATE

Earnings are NMW plus an anticipated amount of £1.50 tronc per hour, paid weekly.

The role carries a permanent contract of a minimum of 12 hours per week. Successful candidates must be able to work key festive dates including Christmas Day and New Years Eve.

Primary Role Responsibilities

  • Carry out the role of a section waiter/waitress, providing table service, taking guest orders and running large trays of delicious food to guest tables.
  • Provide the highest levels of guest service, offering personalised dish and beverage recommendations, and delivering a memorable dining experience.
  • Work closely with the Bar and Kitchen team to ensure the effective flow of communication.
  • To have a comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage menu options to enhance the guest experience.

Our location, Parklands Ave, Motherwell ML1 4WQ, is just off the M8 motorway in Maxim Business Park at the Eurocentral Junction, we are a 92-bedroom boutique hotel which boasts a destination Bar & Grill restaurant as well as a newly built wedding events space.

Our location is easily accessible by car and we offer complimentary parking for both employees and guests. Additionally, there are frequent buses using the CityLink 900 route, only 20 minutes from Buchanan St Bus Station directly to our hotel.

Applicant Requirements

The successful applicant will have/be:

  • At least 1 year working experience, ideally in a hospitality environment.
  • Available to work Christmas Day and New Year.
  • Willing and able to pour, serve and sell alcohol.
  • Ability to work at pace and be physically active for the duration of your shift.
  • Be an outgoing personality with effective communication skills.
  • Be able to be physically active in your role, standing for much of your shift and working at pace.
  • An enthusiastic individual who will promote our culture of positivity.
  • Be task oriented with a great pride for the work they do and attention to detail.
  • Flexible with shift patterns and available around the needs of our business.
  • Successful candidates must demonstrate having researched our brand and a genuine desire to be part of our team.
