About The Role

The ideal candidate will primarily focus on backend development tasks, but some projects may involve frontend work. They will be responsible for writing API endpoints, processing and serving data in new ways, and generating reports in HTML and PDF formats. Opportunity to work with a great, experienced and growing team in a collaborative environment in which to learn and develop further.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain API endpoints to serve up existing data in new ways as per client specifications.
• Work within existing Laravel-based projects, enhancing functionality and optimising performance.
• Rebuild reports in HTML and PDF formats.
• Ensure high code quality, security, and performance standards.
• Collaborate with frontend developers where needed.
• Utilize AWS services such as API Gateway where necessary.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment.

About You

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Strong PHP & Laravel experience (2+ years preferred).
• Solid SQL skills (MySQL preferred) with knowledge of optimization and indexing.
• API development experience (REST, JSON).
• Familiarity with ElasticSearch.
• Experience with AWS services, particularly API Gateway, ECS, and containers.
• Version control proficiency (Bitbucket/GitHub).
  
  

Bonus Skills

• PDF generation experience (e.g., DomPDF, wkhtmltopdf, TCPDF, PrinceXML).
• Exposure to Terraform for infrastructure management.
