Come and be part of the Corporate Services Directorate. We are looking to recruit an Audit & Inspections Officer on a full-time, permanent basis, to be based at Force Headquarters.
We need to ensure information is secure, that potential data breaches are investigated and the force remains legally compliant at all times. Our work is underpinned by Data Protection Legislation, Human Rights Law and an understanding of how the law needs to be applied. As the Compliance Auditor, you will be responsible for auditing the force systems, ensuring we are compliant with national and in force requirements as well as relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities
Vetting level: MV, SC clearance (5 years residency requirement within the UK at time of application).

As the Compliance Auditor, you will be responsible for auditing the force systems, ensuring we are compliant with national and in force requirements as well as relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking planned audit programmes across computer applications to gain an understanding of the information systems and associated processes.
- Identifying any errors, omissions, non-compliance and data quality error trends and training or development needs.
- Be responsible for liaising with a Basic Command Unit to provide advice and guidance on matters within your remit.
- To hold a recognised audit qualification from a professional body such as the Institute of Internal Auditors or be able to complete a qualification within 2 years of commencing the role.
- Experience of extracting and interpreting numerical, graphical, verbal and written information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
