Job Purpose

• Managing a varied portfolio of clients, overseeing audits from planning to completion
• Leading audit meetings, advising clients on statutory financial requirements and discussing audit findings
• Providing insightful recommendations to improve client financial systems and controls
• Preparation and reviewing of corporation tax computations and quarterly management accounts
• Reviewing non-audit engagements, such as audit exemption accounts
• Supporting the partners in the operational management and growth of the firm
• Training and developing junior staff, managing workflow, and providing ongoing support

What are we looking for?

• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and key disclosure requirements
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients with turnovers up to c.£35m
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to oversee audit processes from start to finish and mentor junior staff
• Expertise in a range of accountancy software, including Sage 50 and Xero
• The ability to provide clients with strategic advice and improvements for their financial systems and internal controls
