At Pick Everard, we value talented leaders. We are looking to appoint an Associate Ecologist within our growing Environmental Services discipline. The successful candidate will help to build, grow, manage and support an ecological team delivering master planning inputs, ecological appraisals, ornithological surveys and studies, other protected species surveys, mitigation design and construction and post-construction supervision and monitoring.
You will have the opportunity to benefit from an exciting and diverse workload, delivering high quality support for private and public-sector clients across the UK including exciting infrastructure and renewable energy projects. As an Associate Ecologist, you must be an established Ecological Consultant with extensive project management experience and previous experience within a consultancy.

As an Associate Ecologist, you must be an established Ecological Consultant with extensive project management experience and previous experience within a consultancy.
Our ideal Associate Ecologist must have:
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
- Experience within bat or other protected species (ornithological or botanical)
- Ability to plan and undertake habitat surveys and to identify indicator plant species and habitat types.
- Full knowledge of UK and EU Wildlife Legislation and best practice survey techniques
- Full membership of CIEEM
- Demonstrable experience in leading a team
- Experience in developing good client relationships to secure repeat business and gain new clients.
