We're looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our South West Water team based in St Austell.
Location: St Austell, Cornwall - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required
Hours: 39.5 hours per week

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the South West Water team, supporting the commercial and financial management of reactive repair and maintenance works by assisting in procurement, contract administration, valuation and costing of works.

What will you be responsible for?
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the South West Water team, supporting the commercial and financial management of reactive repair and maintenance works by assisting in procurement, contract administration, valuation and costing of works.
Your Day To Day Will Include
- Overseeing, and approving subcontractor payments, ensuring accuracy in cost allocation, documentation and adherence to payment deadlines. Including oversight of commercial & subcontract inboxes
- Assisting in the preparation of client reports and audit responses
- Working closely with Senior Quantity Surveyor to support with general cost & value related exercises, and progress reports to support informed decision-making.
- Working closely with operational and commercial team to ensure compliance with commercial and contractual obligations, acting as a key point of contact for queries
- Helping to identify and manage commercial risks, providing input on mitigation strategies.
This role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
- Hold a relevant qualification and experience in related role and industry.
- Have working knowledge of construction contracts, such as NEC and JCT.
- Are confident using Microsoft Excel and accounting systems such as Causeway
- Full Driving Licence
