About The Role...

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our fast-paced Finance team as an Assistant Management Accountant (AMA) to support with delivery of the month-end management accounts. The AMA will have a defined set of responsibilities across both the profit & loss account and the balance sheet, and you will also be producing and presenting monthly results to senior leadership within the financial accounts team.

The Assistant Management Accountant will benefit from support from three other colleagues in the team, plus the leadership and support of one of our Finance Managers.

Your Impact And Responsibilities…

• Preparation of month end schedules, accruals and prepayments for head office cost centres.
• Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring balances are understood and queries rectified in a timely manner.
• Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of reports used by stakeholders across the business, assisting with cost control and driving company performance.
• Assist with the completion of VAT and Corporation Tax returns, ensuring external submission deadlines are met.
• Production of Office of National Statistics submissions and other external surveys.
• Drive efficiency of financial process via continuous improvement and identification of potential opportunities
• Ad hoc support of other tasks such as audit.
  
  

Skills And Knowledge…

• Advantageous but not essential to be part qualified ACCA/CIMA
• Ideally have worked with Oracle before
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
• Advanced excel skills
• The ability to provide real added value, insight, and interpretation into the numbers you are reporting.
• Be able to articulate the recipient of reports and balance sheet reconciliations
• Excellent communications skills and the ability to build strong relationships with other Finance team members and stakeholders
• An understanding and empathy for the challenges of front-line operations, providing assistance and support to the benefit of the business
