An Assistant Accountant is needed to support a busy accounting and finance team in an international transport and distribution industry. This role includes tasks such as data entry, financial reporting, and assisting with audits.

This company is a large entity within their industry sector. They have a significant market presence and a dedicated team locally and internationally.

Description

  • Managing the day-to-day activities task and providing monthly accounting records data to accountants for four subsidiary companies based around the world.
  • Assisting on yearly audits of companies.
  • Updating the purchase invoices register
  • Processing payments for suppliers invoices
  • Accruals / prepayments
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Assist with Month End
  • Assist with the Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts
  • Preparing draft sales invoices
  • Review debit card and credit card expenses reports.
  • Review VAT returns and confirming submission with accountants.
  • Updating the cashbook excel sheets for all companies.
  • Assisting on budget preparation for all companies
  • Liaising with team for any queries and assisting accountants on queries
  • Preparing the payroll summary for all four companies and sending to Accountants to record on system.
  • Review employees expenses claims.
  • Processing salary via Wages Protection System or Bank Transfer
  • Sending payslips to employees
  • Opening of Bank accounts when requested
  • Assisting on on-boarding process for new employees of subsidiary companies
  • Assisting Team with visa processes requirements.

Profile

A Successful Assistant ,Management Accountant Should Have

  • AAT / CIMA / ACCA Studier
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
