Hours per week: this role is 37 hours per week. However, we welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and we are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need
About the role:
Provides a comprehensive high quality people management service within the ER team, including telephone and direct support to line managers and the provision of detailed guidance and advisory documentation.
Supports ER management activities including policy and procedure formation, ER project management by maintaining a project plan and other project documentation and providing generic support to members of the ER team.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing high quality advice, support and guidance to managers and supervisors in respect of issues linked to ER policy and procedure with due regard to Employment Legislation, Force Policy and procedures, Police Regulations and Police Staff Terms and Conditions.
- The maintenance of an ER department project plan that identifies the programme of work, actions, relevant timescales and critical milestones, and identification of any deviation from the project plan through an exception reporting mechanism to the ER management team.
- Producing reports as required utilising the most appropriate format, including regular reports for the Joint Partnership Group meeting.
- Undertaking specific project enquiries/research under the direction of the ER Project Manager to assist them with delivering projects from conception to implementation.
- Negotiating with internal Departments and liaising with necessary contacts, for example IS, Estates and Finance to enable changes to policy/procedure as necessary.
Please note:
Selection with include an interview and role related assessment.
The role will be undertaken between Monday – Friday 0800 hours – 1700 hours, applications for flexible working within these periods are welcome.
