Assistant Buyer
Card Factory
Date: 3 weeks ago
City: Wakefield
Contract type: Full time

Job Introduction
Come and join cardfactory’s commercial team as an Assistant Buyer! In this role, you'll support our busy Buying team by helping to choose products at great prices.
We work part of the time from our office in Wakefield, about three days a week, and the rest from home, depending on what the business needs. You’ll sometimes visit other shops to see what they’re selling, so it’s helpful if you have a driving licence.
As part of your day-to-day job, you’ll help plan and design products that people will love and help our customers celebrate all life’s moments. You’ll share ideas with Buyers and help improve how our products perform. You’ll speak with suppliers from around the world and work well with them, even if English isn’t their first language.
You’ll think of new product ideas and compare prices to make sure we stay competitive. As a key member of the team, you’ll help plan what goes into our shops and check samples to make sure they match what we asked for. Most of all, you’ll work together with people all over the company to make sure everything runs smoothly.
We’re looking for someone who’s worked in a buying or similar role before. If you’ve worked with gifts, fashion, or products, that’s a bonus. You’ll be a confident communicator, aswell as being organised and managing your time well.
If you’re ready for your next role in Buying, we’d love to receive your application!
