I am looking for a temporary Assistant Accountant in an industrial/manufacturing business based in Northampton. The successful candidate will be integral in managing financial duties, including processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports.

Description
The Assistant Accountant's duties will include but are not limited to:
- Processing financial transactions accurately and timely
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports
- Reconciling accounts to ensure their accuracy
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
- Ensuring compliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations, and systems of internal control
- Assisting in the annual audit process
- Maintaining and updating financial data in the company's accounting system
- Performing other duties as assigned by the management
A Successful Assistant Accountant Should Have
- Be AAT qualified or have demonstrated relevant experience
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An hourly rate up to £17.00 p/h
- An immediate start
- 3 days home working and flexible working hours
- Potential for a permanent position if successful in the role
- Opportunity to gain invaluable experience in the manufacturing industry
