Description

The Assistant Accountant duties include:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Assist with administration of the key Balance Sheet functions, Inventory, Fixed Assets, Right of Use Assets, Intangible Assets.
• Support the reconciliation of accounts and ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Process month end journals such as accruals, prepayments, additions, disposals etc.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline financial processes.
• Provide support for audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
• Contribute to the preparation of tax returns and other statutory requirements.
  
  

Profile

The Successful Assistant Accountant Should Have

• Relevant academic qualifications in accounting or finance (fully AAT qualified or part qualified in CIMA or ACCA)
• Demonstrable prior experience within month end finance processes
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all financial matters.
