In this new role, you will lead a Team responsible for providing business support to the Regimental Headquarters for the Royal Dragoon Guards (RDG) and the Royal Yorkshire Regiment (RYorks). Job Description

As the manager for the Business Support Team, your primary purpose will be to deliver a credible, responsive and professional service to meet the needs of the two Regimental Headquarters you support. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing your Team with confidence and empathy, creating a sense of purpose and supporting them to give of their best, both as individuals and as a Team.
  • Information Management, including maintaining the master file plan and management of electronic and physical records (including the archiving and destruction of documents). Regular auditing of group area for duplicate/redundant data etc.
  • Administrative support to Benevolence to both Regiments using the MOSAIC IT System - training can be provided if required.
  • To be responsible for the group mailbox/intranet/DefNet accounts.
  • The management of conference room facilities including providing support for all VTC and telephone conferencing with the RHQs.
  • Compliance with webmaster direction ensuring the relevant pages are kept up to date providing, where necessary, advice regarding Intranet and ArmyNET web. Arrange and provide web training as the need arises.
  • To act as the database manager for the Regimental Associations databases.
  • Support the Regimental social media and Branding initiatives.
  • Provide support to the Information Manager.
  • Undertake the role of Local Security Officer and IT Security Officer
  • Work collaboratively with other Teams to implement changes to our communications and information management processes.

Essential

We are looking for resourceful, capable and organised individual who can deploy resources and organise workloads to deliver outputs. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Ability to motivate and support their team to deliver excellent customer service and achieve effective performance.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in an administrative role in a customer-focussed environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the experience of building positive relationships,
  • IT proficient with the ability to learn and adapt to different technologies and software packages.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing priorities.
