The Role:
As an Area General Manager, you will oversee service delivery, ensuring we meet and exceed client expectations. You will manage operational maintenance, safeguard the availability of critical systems, and ensure full compliance with health and safety standards. This role involves balancing operational excellence with strategic growth, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership.

The Role:
As an Area General Manager, you will oversee service delivery, ensuring we meet and exceed client expectations. You will manage operational maintenance, safeguard the availability of critical systems, and ensure full compliance with health and safety standards. This role involves balancing operational excellence with strategic growth, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high levels of client satisfaction and develop contracts to grow portfolios.
- Maintain profitability, ensuring budgets and P&L targets are consistently met.
- Lead monthly reviews, presenting performance insights to internal leadership.
- Attend and contribute to strategic client meetings.
- Ensure all systems and equipment are maintained to the highest standards.
- Oversee reactive and planned maintenance works, ensuring timely completion.
- Drive health and safety compliance across all contracts.
- Manage subcontractor performance and relationships.
- Develop and implement training plans for the engineering team.
- Identify and execute additional works, meeting P&L goals.
- Champion company processes, ensuring site compliance and best practices.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance management for contract managers and engineering teams.
- Foster a customer-focused approach, nurturing strong client relationships.
- Drive employee development, ensuring team members reach their potential.
- Support business growth through succession planning and leadership development.
- Minimum of 5-8 years in operational management roles.
- Qualifications in IOSH or NEBOSH (HNC/BTEC/Degree preferred).
- Recognised qualifications in Electrical (18th Edition, C&G2391) or Mechanical & HVAC.
- Proven experience managing engineering teams, contracts, and budgets.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
- Commercial awareness and financial acumen.
- Client-focused with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
