Are you a first-year Student Veterinary Nurse ready to launch your career? Kirkcaldy Vets for Pets has an exciting opportunity for you to join our friendly and supportive team.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic chance to work towards your Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing while gaining hands-on experience at Kirkcaldy Vets for Pets!
This is a full-time role working 40 hours, across 4 days per week. This will include working 1 in 5 weekends on a rota basis. This position is advertised as a 2 year fixed term contract, to support you whilst completing your apprenticeship. Once qualified, you will have the opportunity to apply for any available RVN roles within the practice.
Requirements for the Level 3 Apprenticeship are:
The Kirkcaldy area enjoys many good environmental amenities, such as parks and open spaces, and access to the Fife Coastal Path. It’s also offering excellent and easy links to Edinburgh and Dundee, both of which can be reached in less than an hour by train.
Our practice is proud to be a recognised training practice, recently revitalised under the leadership of our new practice owners.
As part of our team, you’ll be surrounded by a warm, collaborative environment where support and learning are at the heart of everything we do. You’ll work closely with our experienced and approachable team, which includes 4 Vets, 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses—several of whom are clinical coaches—and our compassionate Veterinary Care Assistants. - 5 GCSEs at Grade A-C/4 or above to include English, Maths and a Science (plus 2 further subjects)
- Experience working in a vet practice or within an animal care environment would be preferred, but is not essential
- There are no age restrictions.
- Have been a resident of the UK/EU for three years.
