What You’ll Do
- Join a development team delivering software solutions for central and local government.
- Write, test and maintain code for web-based applications.
- Contribute to the full Software Development Life Cycle — from planning and coding to testing and deployment.
- Apply the skills gained during the bootcamp and apprenticeship to real NEC projects.
- Take part in team meetings, sprint planning and code reviews.
- Learn continuously through structured training, project work and mentoring.
- A genuine passion for technology and solving problems.
- Some prior exposure to coding or digital systems (e.g. self-learning or online courses).
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Willingness to complete an 8-week, full-time bootcamp at the start of the programme.
- The right to work in the UK and eligibility for apprenticeship funding.
- A line manager who will:
- Ensure you’re working on meaningful coding tasks that support your training.
- Support your learning and professional development time.
- Attend your Bootcamp Completion Event in week 8.
- Ongoing support from expert trainers and coaches throughout your apprenticeship journey.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- This programme is not suitable for no-code or low-code positions.
- Completion of required pre-reading prior to the boot camp.
- You must be available for full attendance throughout the 8-week boot camp.
