Salary: First year: £6.40 per hour, Second year (age dependent): 18 or under- Remain on current salary. 18 to 20 - £8.60, 21 and over - £11.44 - based on current rates.

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Contract Length: 18 month fixed term contract

As our Apprentice Restaurant Manager, you will learn and develop skills in restaurant operations, customer service, and business administration. You will also support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring a high-quality dining experience while working towards a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship.

This hands-on role provides the opportunity to work in a real-world restaurant setting while gaining valuable experience in leadership, customer service, and operational management

Responsibilities of our Apprentice Restaurant Manager:

• Work alongside the Restaurant Manager to develop knowledge of restaurant operations, including bookings, stock control, and customer management.
• Gain skills in front-of-house service, including table setting, beverage service, and dealing with customer queries professionally.
• Support and mentor student staff in developing their front-of-house skills under the guidance of the Restaurant Manager.
• Assist in managing bookings and coordinating the restaurant's lunch and evening service schedules.
• Support the preparation and management of stock for front-of-house operations.
• Assist with cash handling, sales recording, and reporting to learn the financial aspects of restaurant management.
• Support health, safety, and hygiene compliance across all front-of-house operations.
• Assist with general administration, including data entry, report generation, and minute-taking during meetings.
• Maintain accurate records of bookings, customer feedback, and stock levels.
• Assist with marketing initiatives for the restaurant, such as promoting themed nights and events.
• Contribute ideas to support new customer initiatives, such as themed events, menu development, and partnerships with local businesses.
• Utilise social media and digital platforms to promote the restaurant and engage customers.
  
  

What we’re looking for in our Apprentice Restaurant Manager:

• GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications in English and Maths or willing to work towards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and colleagues
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from the Restaurant Manager
• Enthusiasm for learning and applying new skills in a real-world environment.
• Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail in record-keeping and task management.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook (training will be provided).
