Applications Analyst

Ashtead Technology has recently deployed NetSuite OneWorld globally, and now seeking a talented Applications Analyst to join the team and help ensure the smooth performance, continuous improvement, and strategic evolution of our digital platforms.

You'll play a crucial role in supporting the delivery, maintenance, and enhancement of our key platforms. You’ll act as 1st & 2nd line support and be the bridge between business needs and technical teams, ensuring applications are fit-for-purpose, scalable, and optimized for performance. Working closely with end-users, developers, and vendors you will ensure applications are effectively serving the business

Day To Day You'll Be Involved In

• Investigating, diagnosing, and resolving application related issues.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for platform changes or enhancements.
• Coordinating system updates, patches, and upgrades with vendors or technical teams.
• Assisting in application testing, implementation, and user acceptance
• Supporting incident management & identifying issues or inefficiencies in platform workflows and recommend solutions.
• Maintaining application documentation, configuration records, and user guides.
• Monitoring application performance, availability, and usage metrics to ensure optimal operation.
• Conducting data analysis and reporting to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Staying informed of application updates, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.

What else will ensure success in this role?

• Proven experience as a Applications Analyst, Business Analyst, Platform Analyst, Support Analyst or similar role.
• Strong understanding of digital platforms, SaaS tools, or enterprise applications. Previous experience with NetSuite or ERP's is highly desirable, but not essential.
• Analytical mindset with experience using data tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).
• Familiarity with application support processes and ITIL practices.
• Understanding of integration tools, APIs, or middleware.
• Basic project management or change control experience.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
