We’re looking for an Interim API Integrations Specialist to join our team on an initial 3-month contract with the potential for extension based on project requirements. You’ll be the architect of our connected future, designing and delivering cutting-edge integrations that make our systems smarter and our workflows seamless. How you will Energise Our Team
We’re looking for an Interim API Integrations Specialist to join our team on an initial 3-month contract with the potential for extension based on project requirements. You’ll be the architect of our connected future, designing and delivering cutting-edge integrations that make our systems smarter and our workflows seamless. By leveraging APIs and automation, you’ll help us innovate faster, scale with confidence, and stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
The day-to-day responsibilities will involve:
- Design, develop, and maintain API integrations between internal systems & external SaaS platforms
- Collaborate with product, data, & engineering teams to identify integration requirements & deliver robust solutions
- Monitor & troubleshoot integration workflows & ensure data consistency across platforms
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for system connectivity
- Build & maintain API documentation & support internal teams with integration best practices
- Ensure all integrations meet compliance, security, & performance standards
- Work closely with SaaS vendors & partners to coordinate technical efforts
Essential:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development or system integration, including at least 2 years in API design, or technical architecture
- Strong background in delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing digital integrations
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, data protection, and global compliance, with familiarity in security best practices, common controls, and OAuth2 / API authentication methods
- Hands-on experience with RESTful API design and integration, workflow automation (e.g., Power Automate), and testing and quality assurance to ensure robust and scalable solutions
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams (e.g., Marketing, Operations)
- Collaborative and adaptable, with strong problem-solving and debugging abilities, and experience working in agile or project-based environments
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality, secure, and innovative solutions that meet and exceed business expectations
- Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, SQL (for data querying and transformation), Java, C#, or Ruby, with a solid understanding of database systems and web development technologies
- Proven expertise in digital engineering, CMS design and integration, cloud solutions architecture, and data management, including experience with microservices and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Hands-on experience with Power Platform tools, including Power Apps (low-code app development), Power BI (data visualization and dashboarding), and Microsoft Graph API for M365/Azure integrations
- Working knowledge of Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and custom connectors, with familiarity in Dataverse and Microsoft Entra
- Competence in version control systems (e.g., Git) and best practices in source management, collaboration, and deployment workflows
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based solutions, leveraging both Microsoft Cloud and AWS environments
