Job Description
What do we do?
The client offers digital product companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, the client acts as a Merchant of Record for their customers. This means they take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation, providing a solution that is faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, more efficient. They are backed by various investors and serve over 5000 software sellers in 245 territories globally.
The role:
As an Analytics Engineering Manager, you'll lead a dynamic team, working closely with various business units to translate complex business requirements into actionable data solutions. You will play a critical role in communicating analytics insights clearly and with impact, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. Collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product Managers, and Engineering teams will be essential to align analytics solutions seamlessly with business objectives and technical capabilities.
What you'll do:
- Lead and mentor a team of analytics engineers to help the client build high-quality, scalable data models.
- Partner with business units to understand their needs and turn these into actionable work items, prioritize work, align definitions, and set up demos and training sessions.
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines, ensuring the accuracy, availability, and reliability of data using their data stack (Snowflake, DBT, Fivetran).
- Champion best practices in analytics engineering, data modeling, and data governance within the team.
- Drive the continuous improvement of data workflows, automation, and tooling to enhance the team's efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with data platform and analytics teams to build cohesive solutions.
- Promote a data-driven culture across the company, supporting stakeholders in leveraging analytics to make informed decisions.
We'd love to hear from you if you:
- Have a passion for developing people and bring at least 1 year of management experience with several direct reports.
- Have strong expertise with the modern analytics engineering stack, including DBT, Snowflake, Fivetran, and similar tools.
- Possess advanced SQL skills and experience designing and implementing scalable data models.
- Have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
- Possess strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing complex data challenges.
- Are familiar with data governance practices, data cataloging, and data quality.
- Enjoy getting into the details and understanding business processes and commercial implications.
- Are proactive and enjoy taking ownership, but are self-aware and always open to improving and pushing on how you can get better.
